Although the Sony Xperia Pureness was not well received at its launch back in 2009, the idea of a transparent smartphone(JIAYU G3) continues to reap the collective fascination thanks to quite a few movies. This time it was not Samsung or Sony or LG, but a Taiwanese company called Polytron unknown which has introduced a touchscreen smartphone almost completely transparent.

The device integrates an OLED whose images are formed by a transparent grid of electrical cables. Aside from aesthetics, Polytron prototype has the distinction of having touch support as well as on the front and the back of the screen, which opens the possibility of new forms of interface.

Components such as the MicroSD card or battery remain opaque. The company has said that a final version of the phone(ThL W8 MTK6589) would cover the area which houses an opaque glass.

The transparent smartphone operating system does not have any and there are still too many gaps regarding their specifications to trust that we will see the 2013, but its creators insist they can be in stores later this year. Polytron discussed already in talks with several large manufacturers interested in this technology.
