The end of May presented Samsung Galaxy S4 mini is the big flagship Galaxy S4(Samsung Galaxy S4 Cases) very similar optical point of view. The shape of the two devices is almost the same with the bottom of the small model is slightly more rounded for reasons of space as the five-incher. Home and power button and the volume rocker are in the usual place, as well as the micoSD port and audio jack.
Of course, the reverse is the Galaxy S4 mini removable, so that the battery can be replaced. In addition, under the elastic back cover are the SIM and microSD card space. The latter for use is highly recommended, as are eight gigabytes of internal memory only five gigabytes available. The rest take an Android 4.2.2 with Touchwiz user interface and the additional Samsung Apps. The S4 Galaxy mini has less gadgets than the top model - features like gesture control, and smart AirView break but most users will probably not miss anyway.
While the two models, apart from the size, almost can not distinguish visually, it looks at the intrinsic values already quite different. Here Samsung has placed a similar approach to the day, like mini last year with the Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy S3(cover case for samsung galaxy note 2). The technical data are miles apart. How has the current flagship for a Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor, two gigabytes of RAM, 16 gigabytes of internal memory, a 13-megapixel main and a two-megapixel rear camera and a five-inch Full HD display (1,920 x 1,080 pixels).
The Mini model has, however, only about a 400 Snapdragon SoC, 1.5 gigabytes of RAM, eight gigabytes of internal memory, an eight megapixel back camera and a front camera with 1.9 megapixels. The display measures only 4.3 inches and 960 x 540 pixels with scarce on. These specifications of the Galaxy S4 Mini are now closer to the new top model off than it was last year in the case of the Galaxy S3 series. The qHD display on the Galaxy S4 Mini leaves a pretty good first impression, but an HD screen would have been nice - a bit more internal memory would have been the small model to shame. The general specifications seem quite reasonable for a mid-range model basically. The only deterrent to the device at first glance, the rather high price of 529 euros (RRP) - he is, however, a few days after launch fallen to below 400 euros. Whether it is worth buying the really very compact and handy S4 Galaxy Mini, we will answer during our tests, which follows in the coming week.
